Mats

Mats are produced for many generations for the Penans, from the time which they discovered the usefulness of the vine. Named “Mak” in Penan, the larger pieces are made for them to sleep on, smaller ones travel with them so that they can lay down while in the forest. Ornately designed mats are kept safe and reserved for visiting dignitaries or revered guests.This product is made by Artisan Teresa.
